Construction of a new 125,000-sf retail shopping center on an 18-acre site, with 35 stores ranging from 1,000 to 15,000 sf, restaurants, outdoor cafés and pedestrian links. The Santa Barbara-themed Crystal Cove Promenade features wood framed structures with terra cotta tile roofs, cast stone columns and ornamental iron balconies. Extensive sitework included laying down colored concrete, custom interlocking paver designs and planting a variety of decorative olive and palm trees. The team also outfitted the foundations with underground utilities.
