MATT Construction Opens Downtown Los Angeles Office
MATT moves into Rising Realty Partners’ The Park DTLA on Figueroa
To facilitate higher levels of service to its downtown clients and consultants, MATT Construction has opened a downtown Los Angeles office at The Park DTLA, an office park on Figueroa between 2nd and 3rd Streets. “The opening of our fourth office was a natural result of MATT having an increasingly large volume of work in and around downtown,” says MATT President, Marvin Wheat. “In addition to investing in the revitalization of Los Angeles’ center, we now have a central location for client and consultant meetings, roundtable workshops and events.”
MATT’s notable downtown projects include The Broad, the Colburn School, 8th & Hope tower, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Redcat Theater, Inner City Arts, the AT&T Tower Penthouse (now USC Center), Patina, the Walt Disney Concert Hall Founder’s Room, and numerous projects for USC. The company also works with Los Angeles architects on projects throughout California.
To celebrate its newest office, MATT held an open house, hosting esteemed guests from the local arts, museum, architectural, and real estate development communities. Guests sampled sake while dining on poke bowls and shaved ice provided by neighborhood merchants. In keeping with MATT’s support of the arts, the event featured an exhibit by artist, Chie Hitotsuyama, courtesy of the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH).

“MATT has constructed some of the most significant and identifiable buildings in all of Los Angeles. We are excited for a tenant of MATT’s caliber to become part of The Park DTLA community,” said Nelson Rising, Chairman & CEO of Rising Realty Partners. “They have shaped downtown institutions for decades and we are thrilled to partner with them.”
