Jason Mosier and Patrick Choi Join the Ranks of MATT Construction’s Senior Leadership
Patrick Choi and Jason Mosier Become Vice Presidents at MATT Construction
Jason Mosier and Patrick Choi have spent years in the field with MATT Construction, cultivating and honing their skill sets as leaders on the jobsite. They have brought to life a wide array of visions for diverse clientele. In shepherding these projects from the earliest stages of design planning, to the nitty gritty of machines and soil, to the unveiling of gleaming additions to California’s architectural landscape, they have earned respect and trust throughout the construction industry. It is with great pleasure that we announce their new positions as Vice Presidents at MATT.
Jason Mosier brings broad experience from years in both the public and private sectors, with the operating, negotiating and problem-solving skills to match. He has developed a reputation particularly in the realm of primary and secondary institutions of learning, overseeing the multi-phased Center for Early Education and the Mater Dei High School Athletics and Aquatics Facilities, among numerous other K-12 and higher-education sites. He loves the variety of personalities and perceptions that each project presents, as a typical day might see him driving from a school development at Melrose and La Cienega to a Norbertine monastery in Silverado Canyon. Key to the smooth functioning of any jobsite, he feels, is the people: “I’m a believer in surrounding yourself with great people.” He takes pride in the fact that MATT and its network share that belief and mission.
Patrick Choi steps into the role of VP of Estate Homes with over a decade dedicated to the construction of private residences. He deeply values the unique offering MATT brings to any residence project: a commercial level of sophistication. The scale of projects MATT’s teams have executed for major corporate clients like Google and NBCUniversal adds sophistication and attention to every stage of the process, from assessing design feasibility, to identifying the right subcontractors for each home’s design, to overseeing sequencing and scheduling. Patrick strives for the harmony that arises when all of the elements of a house’s construction, from layout to finishes, evoke the ineffable sense of belonging that the owner envisioned. “A great house is a collection of all these details,” he reflects. Signature projects include the El Rancho Escondido and 911 Tione residences.
Both Patrick and Jason share a passion for delivering the owner’s vision, whether it be a hillside home overlooking Los Angeles or an elite preparatory academy for high schoolers. They thrive on collaborating with fellow MATT employees, architects, designers and subcontractors and bring a high level of commitment to fine details and broad goals alike. The two newly minted VPs look forward to continuing their work in developing projects for diverse clientele, guided by the principles of integrity and excellence in execution.
