MATT Construction is committed to attracting, developing and advancing diverse, talented individuals, both inside and outside of MATT. We believe that by integrating diverse perspectives with our shared passions, we can attain the full measure of our potential to build an inspiring world.
We are committed to fostering a workplace environment and industry that demonstrates respect, care and equity with our team members, business partners and clients. By empowering and celebrating differences, we build a company and community culture where everyone achieves their full potential.
1. Building & Celebrating People
“It’s not what you can do yourself; it’s what you can do to help others succeed.”
The success of our company is a direct result of our people’s success. Without the dedication and commitment of our team members, we wouldn’t be who we are today. We enjoy celebrating our people, whether through employee spotlights or providing wellness opportunities for our people and their families. At MATT, we actively search for ways to help our people flourish both personally and professionally.
2. Building Diverse & Inclusive Teams
“There is no limit to our success as long as no one cares who gets the credit.”
Teamwork is at the core of MATT Construction. Pulling together teams diverse in thought, profession, perspective and background is what makes projects that much stronger. We strive to include all stakeholders-internal and external-in the process of building a better project and company.
3. Building Spaces for Diverse Communities
“We will reach beyond our comfort zone to grow as individuals and as an organization.”
Our mission is to empower visionary clients, architects and communities to create meaningful spaces. We do that by partnering with a variety of groups such as the Skirball Cultural Center, Museum of Tolerance, and the Pacific Asia Museum to build extraordinary facilities. We support these efforts further by donating to organizations that support the diverse communities we work and live in. Organizations we support include EJI, DIY Girls and LGBTQ+ Resource Center.
