Renovation and new construction for the 70-year-old Curtis School, situated on a 25-acre campus near Mulholland Drive and the 405 Freeway. Scope included building 22 new classroom bungalows for grades K-6, a technology room, offices, a faculty lounge, outdoor patios with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a multipurpose pavilion featuring a unique roof made of patterned Spanish tiles that sweeps up the hillside to a height of 36 feet. The roof and pavilion accommodate basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and other indoor sports and also serve as an 800-seat auditorium for drama, music and dance.
