This timelapse video shows the delivery and installation of the new secondary school pedestrian bridge at Oakwood School, which plays a key role in student safety and ease of access. The bridge connects the north and south ends of the secondary school campus safely above the hustle and bustle of Magnolia Boulevard. Built ahead of time by Plas-Tal in Sante Fe Springs, it spans 114 feet from column to column, stands at 14 feet tall and weighs over 95,000 pounds. An overnight ride on a two-trolley rig brought the entire bridge securely to its final destination, after which a 350-ton crane carefully hauled and set into place in one piece.
